As of 10/24/2023 The Biggest upgrade to the USS Caperton website is live. The look and feel of the site has been updated; lots of new content including a listing of Commanders of the USS Caperton; information on what a sailors Service Record number is about; and an all new photo gallery. A major improvement to the sailors who served aboard the USS Caperton which includes not only every sailor who served aboard the USS Caperton, but also the page(s) of the muster roll that list the sailor. I have completed the listing for 1943 and am already at nearly 400 names of men that served aboard her! While I don't have a timeline for completion, I have already begun 1944 and will update the listing as I complete each quarter. Until I complete the new listing, I plan to also have the old database available. I am working to get it back on the site soon. So check this blog regularly for the announcement!
Also new is the ability to register on the site. This will allow me to notify those who are interested, in updates to the site. So have a look around and let me know what you think!
